Hyatt Hotels in Key West Go Gourmet Coffee
Several Hyatt Timeshares in Key West Florida have moved from serving Starbucks to serving Island Joes Gourmet Coffee. The Hyatt Sunset Harbor and Hyatt Beach House Resort have choosen to begin serving gourmet coffee roasted by one of the highest rated coffee roasters in the state of Florida who also has several gourmet coffee blends rating in the top 5% in the world (coffeereview.com).
“We are very excited to be able to roast gourmet coffee for the guests at the Hyatts,” said Joe Wells, co-founder and coffee roasters at Island Joes. “Word of mouth is the best adveritising. I mean one customer tells another and then the word spreads as it did to the Hyatts. So we begin talking about serving our coffee to their guests and developing a coffee program for the Hyatts. One which would fit their system, so it took a few months, but we worked it out. And working with the folks at the Hyatts has been very rewarding, as they truly care what they serve to their guests.”
In review, Island Joes Gourmet Coffee Roasting Company was started in a gas station in Marathon, Florida by a father, two sons and daughter. Wells stated, “We wanted a cup of fresh roasted coffee “everyday”, hence we begin roasting and soon the word spread. Currently we have customers all over the world i.e. China, England, Puerto Rico, Canada and of course all across the U.S. I really like it when we get orders from Seattle. Then we are in some of the finest restaurants and resorts in the Keys i.e. Café Marquesa, Martin’s Café, 915, Hot Tin Roof at the Ocean Key Resort and Spa and so forth”
